Privacy Policy

This policy covers the website whiscey.net and the Minecraft servers run by whiscey: TulipSMP, FurrySMP and Sunflower SMP (together, "we", "us"). It explains what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do about it.

What we collect on the website

• Basic request data. Our host, Cloudflare, processes your IP address and browser details to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We don't use advertising or analytics trackers.
• Your theme choice. Light or dark mode is saved in your browser's local storage. It never leaves your device and isn't a tracking cookie.
• Staff logins. Staff pages need a Minecraft username and password. Passwords are stored only as hashes.

What we collect on the Minecraft servers

• Your Minecraft username and UUID, and when you join and play.
• Your IP address, used to run bans, detect alternate accounts and fight ban evasion.
• Gameplay data such as chat and command logs, playtime, auction and shop activity, and punishments (bans, mutes, warnings).

We use this to run the servers, keep players safe and enforce the rules. Punishment records are kept for as long as needed to enforce them. Other data is deleted when it's no longer needed.

Discord

Our Discord servers are run on Discord's platform and are covered by Discord's privacy policy. We show public member counts and read our own changelog channels to display updates.

Third parties

Loading this site contacts these services, which may see your IP address:

• Cloudflare, which hosts and secures the site.
• Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com), for the typefaces.
• mc-heads.net and minotar.net, for Minecraft skin and head images.
• mcstatus.io, for live server player counts.
• YouTube (youtube-nocookie.com), only when you press play on an embedded video.

We never sell your personal data.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the UK and EU GDPR or California law), you may ask to see, correct or delete the data we hold about you, or object to how we use it. Ask us on Discord or in-game staff channels and we'll respond within 30 days. Some records, such as active bans, may be kept where we have a legitimate interest in keeping the community safe.

Children

Our servers and Discord are intended for people aged 13 and over (or the minimum age in your country). We don't knowingly collect data from younger children. If you believe we have, tell us and we'll delete it.

Security

We use HTTPS, restricted staff access and hashed passwords. No system is perfectly secure, so please report any problem you find through our security contact.

Changes

We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do. See also our Terms of Service.
