Names

whisceyJava username
c763766d9fcb40deb58e9692031ea044Java UUID, with or without dashes
.whisceymcBedrock player as Floodgate shows them: a leading "." and "_" for spaces. Floodgate UUIDs work too.

Players who can't be found get Steve or Alex. Names that can't be a player return a 404 with a JSON error.

?size=Height for default and full (512 by default), side for the square ones (256 by default). 16 to 1024.
?overlay=falseHide the outer layer (hat, jacket, sleeves, pants).
?flip=trueTurn the other way.
?tail=5bc4a5Mermaid only: a flat tail in that color. By default the tail is made from the player's own legs and pants (or their shirt, for bare legs).
?tailstyle=flatMermaid only: a single-color tail picked from the outfit, instead of the skin-textured one.
?sparkles=falseMermaid only: no sparkles.
?emote=A face expression painted on the player's face: blush, hearteyes, happy, cry, angry, wink, sleepy, shock, stareyes, tongue. Works on every render.
?acc=Accessories, comma separated: crown, halo, catears, bunnyears, flowercrown, bow, partyhat, glasses, sunglasses, headphones, wings, heart, chefhat, foxears, fluffytail. 3D in 3D renders, pixels on face and mermaid (fluffytail is 3D only). Presets: baker (chefhat and a spatula) and furry (foxears, fluffytail and a plushie).
?hold=An item in the hand: spatula, tulip, plushie or sunflower. In the right hand, or the left when the right arm is up (waving, peace). Shown on 3D renders where the arm is drawn (default, full, bust, poses, chibi) and beside the hand on mermaid. Left out of head and face renders.

Starlight-style links

Old Starlight links work by swapping the domain. Starlight's pose names map to the closest pose here (cheering, relaxing, criss_cross, marching, lunging, kicking, dead...); poses we don't have show the standing render.

/render/reading/<name>/full any pose, full body

Renders are cached for 6 hours, so a new skin can take that long to show.

FAQ

Is it free?

Yes. There's no account and no API key. Link the images straight from your site, bot or plugin.

Does it work with Bedrock players?

Yes. Use the name the way Floodgate shows it, with a dot in front and underscores for spaces, like .whisceymc.

Is this a Starlight Skins alternative?

Yes. Starlight Skins shut down, so this uses the same link style. Change the domain to whiscey.net and most old links keep working.

Why hasn't my new skin shown up?

Renders are cached for 6 hours. A new skin shows up after that.
